Earth Day at the Wildscape Celebrate the planet with an outdoors afternoon of family fun
1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 20 Molly Hollar Wildscape
Veterans Park Arkansas Lane at Spanish Trail (south end of the park)
From I20 go north on Bowen Road to Arkansas Lane, turn left on Arkansas to Spanish Trail, turn left and go to the second entrance to the park. From I30 take the Fielder road exit, go south to Arkansas and turn right.
Free admission
Refreshments will be served (in recyclable cups!) an outreach of the Arlington Conservation Council
For the kids, face painting and recycling games and making seed balls
Think exotic and invasive plants are just as good as natives? Think again
Tour the wondrous butterfly garden
“Seeing the Forest and the Trees” -- discover the post oak region we live in
It’s all about compost (worms are your friend)
Tips on recycling, water conservation and erosion control
Who’s doing those bird sounds?
With a little practice, it might be you in the old meadow, at the entrance to the Wildscape.
