I usually start a thread every spring with all the shows in the VA area we'll be attending, but with everything that's been happening with Phoebe, I haven't spent much time on DG. However, I wanted to be sure to alert everyone about the show at River Farm this weekend since there are quite a few of you in the DC area.
Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 Preview Night for American Hort. Society members
Friday 9:00 – 6:00
Saturday 9:00 – 3:00
The headquarters of American Horticultural Society, River Farm is just off the George Washington Memorial Parkway - directions: http://www.ahs.org/river_farm/directions.htm. A beautiful setting on the river with lovely gardens this time of the year and usually about 30 vendors with plants and garden related items. Parking is free for AHS members and $3.00 for non-members.
In conjunction with the Plant Sale, there will also be a flower show in the estate house on Thursday and Friday:

District II Standard Flower Show
April 17, 1:30 to 5 p.m., and April 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Taking place in the estate house at River Farm, this show will feature more than 50 designs and 300 horticultural pieces grown by garden club members. It is free and open to the public.
