dove problem

Hi all Im new here..and new to birding...I have had feeders in my yard for 3 years running...and what a wonderful thing...purple finches, golden finches, black capped chickadees...brown headed cowbirds..cardinals...well you get my drift...all of a sudden I am over run with doves....I mean they are taking over the place anyone have an idea on how to deter them...they are really making my birding experience sucky

Do you mean the Doves are on the feeders or just on the ground?

I see if I can look around for some information regarding feed.

Apparently Doves prefer corn,millet and milo so if your mixes contain those try getting bird food thats just has things like sunflower seeds (in and or out of the shell), safflower, peanuts and of course nyger for the small birds like Goldfinches.

well they are even on my finch feeders and on the ground...seems they are all over..I even have a neighbor complaining about my feeders..go figure...right now I took all feeders dow cept 2...one with strictly finch food...and one with a wild mix...will try to post a pic of them laying on the finch feeder...I HATE THEM
