Thanks, DonnaB. I didn't think we had them here until this on landed by my foot. I saw a couple more yesterday.

Trois...we get those by the thousands out here. There is a mass migration or movement that goes on around August. The skies are filled with Snouts and Lysides...and so is everyone's windshield! EEEEK! :o)

Gotta admit though...that Snout is a looker. Who couldn't love a shnoz like that!

Here's a Snout caterpillar. They use hackberry trees as a larval host...and south Texas is full of 'em.
