Nice! Does it have a fan for ventilation?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Looks really great! How sturdy is it? And I guess it would be good for hardening off, etc? Or would it be an all-weather thingie in a sheltered spot, in Calgary?

(Zone 4a)

Wow what a great gift!!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

kewl Jo!

Looks like you have lots of room - I'm bringing all my seedlings over. LOL.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

growin, No fan, but it has a roof vent pop-up window & the front has a manual loover vent. I haven't installed it yet, but there is another round vent to put on the back wall. Tallulah, It is really sturdy and the panels had info rating them good for -40. I think it is a good quality for what I will use it for. Sure beats the Swingset greenhouse that I put together last year. I put the rubber seal on today all around the panels & just check the temp. It's about 6 degrees outside & inside the greenhouse it's 13 C. I'm heating it with a little propane tent heater. Last year I used the tent heater with the homemade swing greenhouse & only used about 25 lbs, so it didn't cost that much to heat. Jo, I am just starting to transplant all of the stuff into bigger pots. We're making a complete set of bottom row shelve, so I hope there will be room. I noticed Costco is opening their greenhouse April 21. I hope I can fit it all.

So happy for you JB! It is beautiful. IMOHO, the best this is the best change a person can make in her life (in this climate), short of childbirth!

Have a great time. I am about to start the electric heater in mine too, my grow lights are overflowing and more stuff to start.

I bought a llittle portable fan for mine but I don't use it until it gets REALLY hot.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

you go girl - i am daily tell ann she has to fire ours up - brought home plugs from the greenhouse yesterday so i need to move the peruvian lilies out also tomato plants are fruiting and need more room

(Zone 4a)

OMG where did that snow come from????

Calgary, Canada

Yes we had a real dump yesterday all within the space of a few hours. I know we needed moisture but this is ridiculous. It is melting now and my thermometer says 20 degrees. Life on the praries.

Tomorrow I WILL get the heater on in my greenhouse as my grow lights are overflowing with cannas, colocasia, other bulbs, various seedlings.....

Ow-w-w-w-! I'm so envious!!

Did you build that from scratch or from a kit? If a kit, where did you get it, please?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

It was a kit from Costco. On Sale (on-line) in January/February. Zillion pieces & took a while to build. We have had a late spring with cold nights, so it came in handy. I put a little propane heater with 2 heat output options. Also ran a pipe in for fresh air.

ours was a costco purchase also - but online. it looks quite a bit different probably a different manufacturer. the commonality is the millions of pieces

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Yes, it's about a 1/4 of the size of the one you & Ann have, seen it last August or September. I also got it on-line. costco had a sale Jan/Feb.
