Here's a few more (bad) shots of Petey. He's growing so fast. His ears are up and no more flop-i-ness. His little nose is also getting mostly black now, just a little pink splash left. Him and Baxter are still the bestest of friends and inseparable.
Petey has taught himself a new trick that I'm hoping to sometime be able to get a pic of. He has a tiny little dog bed (it's actually a cat bed). It's one of those round ones with a stuffed edge, it almost looks like a donut but with no hole in the middle (yet). He crawls underneath of it and then starts crawling across the floor with it on his back. He looks like a little multi-colored turtle!
He's really getting into the burrowing and snuggling now. At bedtime he'll push his head under the covers and run all the way down to our feet and plop for a while, then he runs back up and snuggles up to my or DH's tummy for the night. By morning he's on DH's elbow with just his little head sticking out from under the covers. When he realizes we are awake, well, then it's attack kisses time...there's nothing like just opening your eyes and seeing a little Chihuahua coming at your face 100 mph. It took me about two mornings of this to realize there's no point in telling him "NO!" because as soon as I open my mouth he sticks his little head in to inspect my teeth. Sheesh, at least let me brush my teeth first!! He's such a goofus!
