Thanks everyone

Hi fellow Aussie, chrissy!
I have followed the brugmansia thread in the Aussie forum.
There is lots a very valuable info here at Daves garden and a very welcoming feel.

I have potted the Brugs into big ceramic containers yesterday.
I will post a pic tomorrow.
There are another two seed pods on the bush that has flowered!
That makes the numbers of flowers now up to 5-6!!

cheers
Michelle

Someone named Steve from Sydney has just posted pictures of a seedling that is a quatro yellow, four skirts. It was posted on a forum at a Brug org. The seeds were sent to him by Delisa. It looks like the gene pool is looking up Down Under.

Chrissy, are you in the nursery business, you have so many growing? Clemen

No I am just madly in love with the Angels and until daves garden only knew of my white one and begged someone for a piece of an apricot one ...I loved them for almost 30 years and had never seen a seedpod ...never even gave it a thought ...oh I had read about pink and yellow singles but thought that was strictly some far off exotic stuff that maybe grew in Queensland, however stumbling across the information available here and all the friendly advice and support decided to try to play birds and bees with my two Angels ...boy was I shocked when it worked! then it got me to thinking "hang on a tick ...why can't we have the variety that is available?" we have a couple of great breeders here but the gene pool seems to be small or we started much later because I am still thrilled to have just flowered my first "Frosty Pink".I just want the Australian gardener to have choices that's all and I believe we can do it here too ...the weather is much kinder in most places although heat could sometimes be a problem but after seeing what the poor folk go through with the snow ...I think we are very lucky. I would one day perhaps like to make an Australian one to name ...not for money but after my dear little angel grandbaby that we lost at 6 months ...just so it would be here long after we have gone, but that is a far off dream ...for now I am just having a big adventure doing something I love ^_^

Whew he has some great Angels but some are beyond the reach of ordinary gardeners ...that sort of thing is way out of my league but I am very happy to know that means eventually some of those great genes will be circulating around Australia ...I have purchased some great crosses from Brenda (seeds) and they are doing very well I expect to flower them next season and then the real fun will begin ...I would dearly love to marry some beaut named Australian ones to the American ones ...it will be maybe a 5 year project to start before anything much happens in my little 16 acres ...however if the genes similar to "The Chief" are here in Oz we are well on the way in many areas ...me I am just an ordinary gardener who dreams of nice swaps like you all have ...it is the biggest step to encouraging the love of Brugs, because as you know ... once owned always loved!

Here they are: all potted up....

This one has more seed pods just forming.
This is the one that has flowered from when I first bought it.
They are both only about 6 months old.
