I think all the advice you have gotten is good. Too big of a pot, no drainage, and over fertilizing (the fertilizer can burn the root until the plant is well established in it's new home). Cover up those roots sticking out of the soil.
Be patient. Lemon Trees are pretty tough, they can lose all their leaves and still come back... good luck!!
