What is this beetle?

I'm finding these beetles throughout my garden-the picture was taken on a pink skullcap. Any ideas and does it cause any damage?

ks, I think that's the Shining Flea Beetle, Asphaera lustraus, its host is the Skullcap. The larvae probably will eat some of the plant.

Thanks! They don't appear to eat much, and my grandkids like to watch them.
