hindu rope basic info?

Franklin Park, NJ

Hello, dear gardening friends,
I subscribed for Dave's garden a few days ago. I will be getting my first hoyas next week, and wanted to learn how to care for them properly - this looks like the best place! I've been here only a few days but already have learned so much! thank you all!

Today, while I was browisng this forum, I stumbled across a picture of Hindu Rope and realized that my parents got a cutting of it a few months ago from thier friends, but nobody had any idea what the plant was (the owners of the mother plant never saw it bloom, although their plant is old and looked healthy). So I was wondering if you could give basic tips on how to care for Hindu Rope. Right now my parents' cutting is just sitting in regular potting soil, not doing much, neither dying nor growing. They rooted it in water, maybe back in January. They live in Brooklyn, NY, sunny windows, often drafty.

thank you,
Tanya.
