Hyper-salivating

ok, 3 times this week one of my cats has been hyper-salivating, a different cat each time. Foaming and everything, like when I put the flea stuff on their necks the first time and put it too low and they licked it. I have searched everywhere in this house, no chewed plants, no dropped leaves, nothing. What could be causing this??
