You're welcome...I'd never heard of it before.

It says it's hardy from 7A-9B so it should do good in my yard. I have the perfect spot behind my pond against a willow tree. Thank you so much for helping.

They are closed until spring 2009 due to a move. I'm still looking. If anyone knows where else they may be, I'd appreciate it!!!!

Andrea I don't know the website showed things back to 2006 so I felt confortable ordering.

It's not the old Heronswood, which was on the west coast- Oregon? Ball Seed bought it and moved it to Pennsylvania, I believe.

I thought I remember hearing something about it moving. I didn't realize it was under different ownership. They must have kept the name because I knew it had a good reputation. Andrea

"had" being the operative word- I haven't heard about the new Heronswood, I do know they don't have the plants available I bought from the old one.
Here is a rant written by Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery. He sent it out in a newsletter to everyone on the Plant Delights list, also to several plant email lists. I guess he was mad!! :)

Well, that's sad.:( There's nothing like a "mom and pop's" with a great reputation. Though, I have to say, so that Jeri doesn't constantly worry. I had a positive experience with Burpee last year. The plants I ordered were extremely healthy and larger than I expected (I ordered the 18 pack of the lisianthrus). Sorry for the spelling. And I ordered some blueberry bushes that came later. One of them was cracked at the main stem and I called and they immediately sent out a replacement. So, If there is a problem, call them right away. And soon, hopefully that "perfect" spot will be filled. :-) Andrea
