I am in Road construction Last year I was on the Toll-way 294 that was very bad they need to go 45 and they were going Much Much more Faster The Semi had to be going almost 65 even going 45 I think that I did get hit I wood be dead,
I like to work inside in building but I have to take what there give me,
I talked with the boss and I need to call the 3rd week of April than maybe the first week in May we will start. than I am in bed at 7 and up at 4 and I work from 6 to 6 or maybe even longer 6 days a week so I don't have much time but I do try and see what is Happening. My vacation is in the winter I trying to plan a drive trip for myself some were warm. thought the state This year I went and saw Susan51 in Virigin and than I went looking for reletive that I never met in North Caroline and I did find them. When I did I was such a baby I had never met them before so it was really cool
lSo thats my life singal free and hopefully working this summer I will have money

I have to admit I don't always stick right to the speed limit the whole stretch that it's posted... but whenever I see a work vehicle or construction crew, I slow way down, generally even slower than the posted speed. People behind me can wave without using all their fingers if they want -- that's somebody's mommy or brother or best friend standing out there, by golly, and I can't believe people would speed by in order to cut 48 seconds off their trip time. Burns my tail the same was as when people fail to move over to give right of way to emergency vehicles...

Be careful out there, Kim! :-)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Kim,

Glad you got a job that you like. That is too macho for me. I could when I was healthy do it I guess but never wanted to. I know they make good money and that will be great. Good luck.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Kim,
You better be plaining a visit back here in your vacation time... I know I plan on fly back to you...LOL Weather I am invited or not...
Hugs,
Susan

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Er, Kim, you need a map. LOL

(Zone 1)

Dimmer/Kim: Good luck with your job. Stay safe out there! I could never, ever work on the roadways with that speeding traffic! Down here in Florida we have laws if you are stopped for speeding in a construction zone, the speeding fines are doubled! I don't know for sure if that law has helped but hopefully folks are more careful. There's also a law here in Florida that you MUST move over to the other lane, or slow way down if there is a police or emergency vehicle stopped on the interstate. There was at least one instance where a highway patrolman was killed when he was out of his vehicle for a patrol stop, and another car hit him.

I can't even drive on the Interstate anymore ... makes me a nervous wreck the way people are going so fast. I think the highest speed limit anywhere should only be 55! I remember some time back when there was a slogan that said 55 Saves LIves. Of course no matter what the limit, some will always exceed that limit! When it's 75 people go 85. People are just in too big a hurry. Doesn't it make you crazy when you are just in town and you see someone flying by you at about 55 when the speed limit is 40-45 and just a few minutes later there they are right in front of you at the same stoplight?! ^_^

LOL Dimmer ... yep, you better take a map if you want to get to Mexico! The only way to get there through Florida is by boat! Now, if you go to Texas there are a couple of borders where you can cross into Mexico. Oh, and I think you need a passport .... I've heard you can get into Canada and Mexico without one but you need it to cross back into the U.S.!? Does anyone know if that is true?

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I am pretty sure you need the pasport any ware you go after the 911 . Its like that saying don't leave home without it I have one so The only thing I need to do is renew it I can go to the post office here and they do all the work Picture and everything
That sounds nice take a boat ride in the middle of winter I can go for that

forgot to post the link...lol here it is. I may need another card holder, Melissa's Mama is sick....so let me make sure she wants to do this. I don't want her to be concerned about this game when she has her Mama to worry about. BUT if it is going to help distract you Melissa, that is fine too. Just let me know....okay.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Janet, should Melissa need to be with her MaMa, I would be HAPPY to hold the cards this month and not play. I did send Mel my list but I have NO problems holding the cards and sitting this one out. I would enjoy doing it :)

Mel, so SORRY to hear of your Mom :(

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

I've got 15 picks ... now I will just wait to find out for sure who is holding cards.

There is another thread (where the picks are) that lets everyone know that I'm holding the cards this month so that Melissa can be with her mom.
