Hello,
I am intrested in buying adults or ducklings in this breed.
I live in N. Ca and trying to find a breeder close by to do pick up or shipping.
Thank you for your time :-)

Thank you every one!
Hi cottage Rose,
I checked your site and saw your waiting list was full before I joined here.
currently i have
12-buff orpahington chicks
10-rare chick breeds
3- turkey chicks
6-african geese goslings and 7 pekin ducklings.
I heard the moscovys love bugs and are good bee eaters etc. So I ma looking for buying only 3 or 4 at the most. to rasie and mix with what i have now in water fowl. I didn't want to wait until my guys were grown and out, i am afraid they will fight if i don't try and get some now to raise with them.
bugs, bees, flies, mosquitos. don't fight much even with ones they weren't raised with. only time actually just protecting a nest...
you will love them, and if you raise extras they sell well for pets and eating!
I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the mosquitoe population around here since having Muscovies. I can now go outside at night during the summer months and have zero to very little mosquitoes bothering me. They also love slugs and flies and even the baby ducklings seem to be stealthy fast at catching them.
If you want just a few for bug catchers DO NOT get any drakes because they can be obnoxious breeders and will try to breed anything they can catch and pounce on, including chickens. AND Muscovy drakes love to fight with each other and can do each other some major damage.
Plus the ducks are better foragers whereas the drakes are only thinking about breeding 24/7.
the drakes get big enough to eat though [muscovy]!
