Hello everyone~!! Today I was just searching for any type of fertilizer that I can use for any type of 'Epiphyllum' plant, and all I found was a 10-10-10 time released fertilizer. Now I refrained myself from purchasing it because I will never know when this fertilizer finishes to start up the second type of fertilizer for the blooming cycle.
Was this a decent thing to do or do I need to find the liquid form instead? Looked around for the liquid form but it wasn't available. Although, I was able to ask if they had a 10-10-10 water soluable brand but they didn't have it.
This person told me that AGROFLASH 6N-6P-6K does the trick with there potted plants, so I bought it. Is this ratio of fertilizer a bad combination?
Please let me know.....
"Thank you"

'Epi' Time-released fertilizer?
Barrysewall,
I'm interested in this also. I usually use the osmocote on them and it hasn't harmed them. But I also want to do the right thing.
Mimi
Hello Mimi and Barrysewall. I can only tell you what I use and it may be different in US. When I pot up adults , I use a mix that has some compost and sheep manure. I fertilise with blood & bone with potash in early Spring, during the rest of the time until late Autumn, I srpay with the recipe from Brugmansia forum and also alternate that with soluble fertiliser such as Thrive. . About now ( late Autumn here ) I put on some potash and a few grains of superphosphate. They seem to like this and the proof will be in the flowers later this year. I do sometimes throw Osmocote on everything in Spring . It never hurts anything. I hope this is of some help to you.
Jean.
Well I guess my question wasn't answered so I will try again. What I really need to know is this, should I use a 10-10-10 time release fertilizer or no? Thats all I'm interested in knowing since I am a beginner 'Epi' grower....
Hope that makes more sense.

I use a time release on everything evem my orchids and orchid cactus. About once a month I hit all my plants with a little Miracle Grow. So far every thing is growing like crazy and I have only been doing this for 10 yrs or so. So, I would say go ahead, I don't see a problems. I am thinking of going with the Dynamite advertise on the top of this page. Good luck, Tim
