My first set of button quail babies should start hatching Monday and before it's over I should have around 50 of these little guys. I've had baby quail before but never buttons. Does anyone have any advice or know anything that is a must when raising these tiny babies. I'm so excited for them to get here, I just want to make sure this is a good experience for both me and them. Thanks for any help you may have.
Button babies on the way. Any advice?
I have no advise for those. We had quails when I was young but not buttons.
But I would love to see pictures when they hatch.
the button quail are so cute....they are on my list :-)
As soon as they get here I will get some pics put on here.
Good luck on your hatch! I have heard that button
babies may not eat and drink on their own at first. Pay
close attention to helping them do this. I hope they all
come healthy and happy!
in that case i would recommend some very small syringes, maybe froma local pharmact, the kind they would give out with infant motrin medicines...
Well I came home to a hatcher full of eggs and no babies. They are just almost impossible to candle but they don't sound rotten. I'll give them another day or so. I think the next set is due in two more days. We'll see what happens.
crossing fingerts here...
Hoping hoping hoping you get a hatch!
