I don't think I've seen another Rhody foliage color like it?
So a critters has chomped on it, other than that it's great.

Hey, fancy seeing you over here. lol Yep, I just love that Rhody. The leaves are a different color almost every season. But, the color in the picture up above is definitely the most unique. I can't wait to get a picture of it this year, when it's that color, with my new camera.

Well, you could try it if you wanted to. I'm not sure how many folks in zone 6 have tried growing it, I know that some have, but I haven't heard of anyone saying that it kicked it due to cold in zone 6 either. zone 6b is an educated guess by the people who first found the new sport and started growing it. I don't think that many have actually been tested in 6a. You could be the tester! I highly doubt it would survive any colder than zone 6 though given it's parents. It got down to around 5 deg. this last winter (only one or two nights at that temp though), and that didn't seem to phase it at all. In fact I think that the day that I took the picture of the ice on it, was the morning after one of those 5 deg. nights.

I bought several of these this spring. Since they are all clones, I found it interesting that some had twistier leaves than others. Slightly different growing conditions maybe. i can't wait until they fill in.
