Denzili long crowing rooster - this you gotta see!

Lincolnville, ME(Zone 5a)

I don't know how many of you have heard of the Denzili long crowing chicken, but there are eggs available from time to time on eggbid. I was curious so I went to youtube and was shocked to see how many different people had clips up on them. Here is one example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CS4ez4kjKM

Okay, they are descended from dinosaurs! I read up on long crowing roosters when I was trying to find a way to shut up my first set of roos. The books said they appeared in many areas spontaneously. But why would someone want to breed for it?

Talihina, OK

I just love them. I seen someone had some eggs on ebay so I did a little investigation on them and absolutely love the breed. I did not win that auction and haven't been able to find any sense. If anyone knows where to get chicks or eggs, PLEASE let me know.

i jus tlove that huge flopped over comb! thinking bad thoughts of waking my chicken-hating neighbor up with one of these, every day for the rest of his life... ^_^

ROFLOL! I laughed so hard, and the dogs started
barking. That is too funny, Maine. I sent a link to DH
and DB. All I noted was that it was 'something special'.
You watch, DH is going to think I want one and have
a caniption!

Sigh. I tried to bring it up and can only get the first couple seconds of it. No sound either. Guess I just live too far off the beaten track to get good reception for videos. Have had trouble since day one with them. Sigh. ♥

That was hilarious! I had a silkie roo that would go on for like ten seconds and I thought that was long, lol.

Sue, RI(Zone 6a)

OMG! I think I would personally strangle that guy!! Chicken soup anyone! lol!
I have the chicks in my office and chicks didn't know what to think of that! All their heads went up into the air, like what the Heck was that!!

Granny, did you go to the site and just let it be? It should try to download on its own. It usually takes my computer a minute or so also. Give it a few and see if it moves for a few seconds, if so then just give it time till the end. Then put your clicker on the little circle that's on the red bar and slide it all the way over, that's the way I have to do it

Luther, MI(Zone 4b)

Patchouli, are you on SLOWWWW dial-up? Right now I am at 31.2 Kbps, and that is the best I can get. I just tried it again. What red bar are you talking about? There is none showing. All I am getting is a pause signal and when I click it, it goes to an arrow to play, but nothing happens.

Luther, MI(Zone 4b)

Patchouli, I just went on and downloaded it which took 11 minutes, then did like you said. I got no sound although I had the sound thingy all the way up. So, I am just going to let it go.

But, thanks anyway for trying to help me with it.

OMG.. That was too funny.. I had to laugh, we went to the bird swap and my dd kept complaining about the roosters.. did they HAVE to be so noisy at 5am..lol I can't wait to run that video to wake her in the morning...

Hey, we parents gotta grab our fun when opportunity knocks.. hehe!

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

oh, GREAT idea!

Foley, MO

Darn, I was hoping that would work for ya. Yeah, I was talking about the little line at the bottom of the picture that moves slowly ahead as more is downloaded. If you stick your clicker on it you should be able to move it fowards and back. Oh well, these things are hard to explain without direct visualization, LOL! I'm just learning all this computer stuff so it's kinda like the blind leading the blind huh : )

Luther, MI(Zone 4b)

Patchouli, just found out from another thread, that because I have dial-up, and only 31.2 Kbps, it is just too slow to download and work. Maybe one day when we have broadband in our area, (yeah, right), I might look this thread up and do it then.
Thanks, anyway.
