Lets start a new R&R

Thinking about starting a new R&R is anyone interested. We'll have it start in Canada this time and show that we're up to the task, I hope.

Kat a R&R is a round robin, I will send out an envelope of sseeds when it gets to you, you take out the one you want and replace the ones you took with the same number of packages of your own seeds.

Sounds great to me. I've been wanting to try one out for size . I'm new to dave's garden and so far I just love it. I have lots of seeds and am collecting daily . Send me the details and what I need to do. Thanks and Happy gardening . I bet your weather is a lot cooler than our high 97's in the deep south .

Welcome neighbours, I have had 12 name & address emailed to me and there is 15 who have signed up. I do not keep your addys from trades so please send it to me.
Lazydaisey, welcome aboard your first R&R They are meant to be fun, when the seed package gets to you go through the packages and take out the ones that you want, them simply put back in a seed package for everyone that you took out, reseal the padded mailer and mail it on to the next person on the list. Try and put a variety of seeds in for the ones you took out so that the next person on the list has a good selection to choose from. Store bought packages are acceptable so that will make it easier for newbies to join in. If you have extra seed that you dont need you can put them in and I will offer them to newbie gardeners when the R&R is done. Lets have fun with this.
There is a lot more Canadian neighbors that belong to this site, please join us.

Trailingon , You have mail. Thanks for all the good instructions . For once in my life I will follow them to the " T " lol.

Anyone else care to join us, I'll put the closing for joining this R & R as Sunday at 6.P.M. That way it gives people who work all week a chance to join. Ill start the packets of with 20 packages of seeds so that there is a variety to choose from. Does anyone have any preferences for what kind of seed. ie: annuals & perennials, or should we include herbs and odd vegetables. Your input would be appreciated.

i have no preference, just as long as it's a good mix of stuff, perennials are preferable for me - veggies are good too.

I prefer perenniels also. However, I'm not picky and will go along with the majority.

I'm new to the forum, but would love to participate in the round robin!! I have annuals, perennials, veggies, and herb seeds so whatever you guys choose is ok with me.

I am not going to make a provisional list until tomorrow night after 6.pm when it closes to new joiners. Then I'll get out my map and make my lists with the most direct line to everyone to cut down on the time it spends in teh mail. Will email everyone as soon as the route is ready.

THE DEADLINE FOR JOINING IS DRAWING NEAR, SOON WE CAN CARRY ON TO THE NEXT PHASE, HOPE I GET THINGS DONE RIGHT.
I HAVE PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO THIS IN THE LAST FEW DAYS, IN THE ENVELOPES THAT GO OUT I WILL INCLUDE PERENNIALS, ANNUALS, HERBS AND SOME VEGETABLES, THIS WAY IT WILL HAVE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE ENVELOPE TAKE OUT AS MANY AS YOU WANT. IF YOU TAKE OUT 4 PERRENIALS AND 2 HERBS, REPLACE THEM WITH 4 PERRENIALS AND 2 HERBS. THAT WAY THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A GOOD CHOICE FOR EVERYONE, WHETHER YOU ARE FIRST ON THE LIST OR LAST. ALSO IF THERE IS ALREADY 2 OR 3 TRADES OF ONE KIND THEN PLEASE PUT SOMETHING ELSE IN SO THAT THE VARIETY IS STILL THERE FOR THE NEXT PERSON ON THE LIST. IF YOU HAVVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME.
