Is it time to remove the mulch/straw from my strawberry bed? I planted them last spring so I am hoping for a wonderful crop this season! I just don't want to do anything to hurt my progress so far....

I didn't even cover mine last winter and they did fine (never died). I'm technically in the same zone you are, altho I'm on the border of 8a, so I don't know if that makes a diff.
I side dressed them with compost & epsom salts about 3 weeks ago and they're going gangbusters with new foilage and some huge blossoms. I can't wait!

Guess I better move the straw over, huh?..lol
