Lost thread-Seed and fruit bearing plants, shrubs and trees

Pineville, LA

I am fairly new to Dave's Garden and was thrilled when I found a place that identified plants, gave out info on growing zones, soils types, etc. Yesterday, I somehow stumbled into the birdwatching forum that lead me to a wonderful thread (I believe it was a thread-this is actually my first posting) where some kind member had posted many pictures of seed and fruit bearing plants, shrubs and trees with names and the particular birds that they attracted.

Long story short, my daughter had CE units to finish and had no idea that she closed the window before I had a chance to tag it so that I might return. After spending the day and early evening searching off and on, I am unable to relocate it. If anyone could point me in the right direction as to how to search, in case this happens again, I would appreciate that as well.

I would llike to thank all those who post. You have no idea how helpful you are to the beginners in this endeavor, but I find that after years of gardening, I am beginning to realize that you never really finish exploring new avenues that are opened to you by a site like this from the experience of others. I also hope one day to post my plant experiences and pictures to hopefully share with others what I have learned and experienced.

Again thanks to anyone who can help me return to such a wealth of information.

Here is a link you might try...don't know if it is the one you were looking for http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/682674/ I found it because I remember Tabasco was the one who started it so I just searched the posts she started. I hope this is what you are looking for.

Maybe it can added to the sticky? It is a great thread!

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks so much for the hyperlink. I am a newbie to the site but am gradually managing to maneuver around. Still not sure what a "sticky" is.......lol

Thanks to the people that posted all this very valuable info. You find different plants, shrubs and trees but have no idea if they will attract what is common to your area.

These are the best lists and pics that I have seen.

Thanks to Rose and everyone for your help :)
