Stencil, Archit. element, ??

I have been helping our dd fix up her little old home. In her living room the front door opens against the eastern wall. nearly in the middle of the wall is a mirror w/ large heavy 2x4 frame and decorative hat/coat hooks. Facing that wall there is an area to the right of this mirror/hat rack that needs something to balance the wall. I want something like a long(ceiling to floor) stencil or arch. element that does not stick out as that is also the corner for entering the bathroom/bedrooms space. Anyone following me? Subtle is the word. Free stencil or something inexpensive is my goal. Ideas? I will try to put up pix.
