Passiflora ID

Dewey, AZ(Zone 8a)

When I bought this passie, it was marked Lady Margaret, but now that it's blooming, the flower looks nothing like the pictures I have seen of other Lady Margarets. The color is not even close! So is it or isn't it, all you experts?

My guess, after doing a little research, is passiflora violacea 'Form #3'. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55273/. Does this look right?

It actually looks really similar to a couple of crossed I have seen involving Pura Vida. May I ask where you got it?

Walmart, home of the finest passifloras. ;)

Now that I look closer and see the leaf, I think it is a Violacea type that is just showing off color early flowers. If this is the case, the flowers will darken as the weather warms. Keep us posted.

Steph, keep me posted, I'd like to see if it gains more color as it warms up.

Okey doke. No new blooms yet, but lots of buds. The weather keeps going from warm to windy and cool here. Probably in a month or so the heat will turn on.

Mystery solved! This is passiflora violacea 'Eynsford Gem'. I found the tag that came with the plant, and somehow remembered it as saying it was a Lady Margaret. My brain is mush.
