Has anyone tried this kind of coop flooring??

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

My 1/4 inch wire floor failed and I need to put a new floor down in my elevated coop. I'm looking for something a little more durable, and can take the daily pounding of my chickens jumping down from their roosts onto the floor. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of flooring? I'd appreciate any feedback you can give!

i'm trying out sheap linoleum ontop of the wood floors. then i have a ahy and wood chip mix on top of that. i fluff everyday. the only problem i have so far is that it is slippery if you aren't careful. maybe another wood support under your coop? or wire used for rabbits? our rabbit jumps everywhere and his wire cage holds up. you could always teach them not to jump in the house!

did you notice the opening is almost one inch square? & that it is not recommended for turkeys? i would get more info before going to that expense... do they stay in the coop all the time?

post the house rules in the hen house "no jumping" no pecking" no egg-eating" etc LOL peepsqueak

You should hear my chickens jump down from the nesting box or roost. What heffers!! You hear a significant "boom" when they land on the floor. .....Guess they're fed well, huh? ;) lol

I'll give Tek Supply's customer service a call and try to get more info. Maybe there is another manufacturer that offers a smaller opening. I'll let you know what I find out.
