New Swap & Meet

Hello Friends,
I thought I would post a "feeler" thread for a Swap/Meet at our home sometime in the future.

I thought anytime from June to September would be nice. If we had one in June we could still swap Summer plants, seeds, etc. If we hold it in August or September we could make it a Fall bulb swap.

What do you all think? We will let the majority rule for which month and then decide on a theme or lack of a theme. Morning would be good and if you all want to bring a picnic lunch I can provide beverages and snack type stuff.

Keep in mind I am just venturing into flowers, Dahlia's being my new passion, but am an expert in veggies. Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing new and wonderful gardening adventures together.

P.S. We are in a very pretty rural county and very close to Hanging Rock State Park, on a clear day we can see the park from our second story windows. For those of you who may not be too close you may want to make a weekend of it and stay in the area. Hanging Rock has a wonderful campgrounds.

I know I have a friend that would very likely be interested in coming as well depending on date..she's not a dg member though

i could do a september meet!

I dont think I can have a meet without flowrgirl here so we might have to make it a Fall meet! LOL

I was leaning toward a Fall one anyway cause I would love to swap bulbs and stuff.

But we will see what others think before making it definite.

Oh oh, if it's a Sunday I would love to go. I love Pilot mtn and that area. :o)))) Fall or June, whicever is fine. :o))))

Lavina, I was thinking about that, too, when were you thinking of having a get together at your place? I know I need to go home within the next month, I'm trying to convince my mom to let me plant some nice things in her yard..it's an emergency to me, there's no shade or privacy and the neighbors are like, 5 feet away...I couldn't do it..lol

Trop/ I am thinking about August, the last week maybe if I can get some interest. Yoiu can come by any time.
I have a job again.LOL so I am only off on the week ends.

I should be back to NC no later than mid september. If i do work that month it would be for a week or two then i would get my butt back down here for a meet!

Dont forget the swap this saturday in lewisville!

Lavina, it might be a good time to bump the thread you started about a get together down your way while people are making plans...lol

I really do want to see Kennel Beach and figure out where it is..so weird when you've lived in a state and traveled it over and over and there's still places you've never heard of :)
