My E-mail Mystery ?

I have gotten e-mail (in the spam grouping). In the "from" column I see my own e-mail address. How can anyone send e-mail TO my computer, FROM my computer. I'm the only one who uses my home PC and I *KNOW* I haven't sent it to myself. I always delete without opening, since I am afraid it is some sort of trap for gaining entry into my PC's system.

Just curious as to how such a thing can come about. Anyone know ???? Could it be a danger, as I suspect ??
