Hi GranvilleSouth,

It's been suggested that this photo is not an Echeveria elegans, but rather an unknown hybrid. Do you have any idea what entry the photo could be moved to?

Thanks,

Joan

Hi Joan,
Given some time I can make enquiries & find out. They are in a public garden where notices sometimes get moved around or taken. I plan to go back there so I'll hunt someone down & find out if I can.

try Graptopetalum aka Ghost plant http://www.desert-tropicals.com/Plants/Crassulaceae/Graptopetalum_parag.html

Thanks! We can leave the photo for a little while, but not indefinitely.

The photo in the link MaVieRose provided does look like it could be a match. It's worth checking out.

Well if you think its the right one, go ahead & move it. If I find out any info. either way, I'll let you know.
Thanx

We'll give it a little while. Maybe someone else will chime in with some verification, because I'm not 100% sure, since I don't grow these.

OK. They are easy to mix up because there are so many that look alike. Thanx for your help though.

Thanks Mavie. I'll move the photo to that entry.

GranvilleSouth, if you find information that indicates otherwise, please let us know.

Thanks everyone for working through this with us.

it is always a pleasure to give a helping hand.

i'd like to add, the more sun that plant gets, the more purple tint it has.
