Mr or Mrs Vossner, may I get a some advice from you about this rose. I purchased & planted one May 2009. Now it's September, I haven't had a single rose nor bud. Do you know whether it's typical for this plant to not bloom the 1st year? Do recommend pruning to force blooms? Any advice you can give, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hiya donyell. I remember the first year my PM was rather skimpy w/ blooms. It puts a BIG show in the spring and then a cluster here and there for the rest of the year. I'm afraid you should not expect anything until next Mar-April, depending on weather. But I do promise you this, it will be spectacular. If your foliage is green and the vine is growing, then it would be safe to assume it is sufficiently hydrated. If not, then increase your watering a little more. That's all you need to do.
