I bought a nine tray Excaliber and for the money it is a joke, as far as I am concerned a waste of money. It is better than the simple ones that you stack tray upon tray but its capacity leves something to be desired. I guess if your just interested in doing little batches its ok.

Being unsatisfied with the Excaliber the next year I purchased the big one from Cabelas and it is a thing of beauty it will take a 25 pound box of apples at one time. At the same time a friend purchased the smaller version and he is happy with it as well. these are more money but well worth if if you are serious about dehydrating enough to make it worth while. If it is just for novelity then the Excaliber is still not worth the money.

Thats my story and I am sticking to it.
