I get the "Cooks Illustrated" e-newsletter. It is the same one that is on the magazine rack and PBS. Today's includes a nice article on the taste of eggs from various sources. I'll see if the link works: http://www.cooksillustrated.com/tasting.asp?tastingid=206&bdc=2472&extcode=L8CN4BL00

Nice endorsement of farm eggs
What an excellent article.. very interesting.. thanks Cat!
Well, we all know farm eggs taste better, don't we? That's why we have chickens. Before we retired, we used to travel 70 miles to get fresh eggs from a farmer. I just can't eat store-bought eggs anymore except very seldom.
Thanks Cat...Very good article. We have a couple friends that buy from us who all but quit eating eggs because they tasted so bland...now they have eggs regularly and refuse to buy from the grocer. When they had their physicals this year...Lo and behold, their cholestrol levels were good! They laughed all the way home...the Dr. said to continue limiting eggs in their diet a year ago and repeated it this year...so they went home and celebrated with bacon and eggs!
this was such a good article, thanks, catscan!
