Is the time right now to prune that big plumie that you so graciously sent me a picture of where to cut it? I will get a bunch of cuttings off of it and wanted to know what to do so I can share them here with others.
Thanks my dear friend.
Clare...
Hi Louise! You crack me up. You can, but it is still pretty cool right now. You might have branch dieback if you cut now. The tree should be actively growing when you cut. Most of mine are still dormant. Wait until it is warm out during the day and night when your plumie is growing or at least until your tree comes out of dormancy. Be sure to leave a few limbs so you don't rob yourself of flowers;-)
Gotcha Clare, thanks. Yeah, I crack myself up too! It has no new leaves so I'll wait. Thanks again my friend.
HI, do you have a pic of the bloom that I can see?
No Maureen I sure don't. It's a white but it has huge blooms.
Yes...but more importantly (LOL) how did the blooms smell? ;)
HI Weegy. Thanks for the description. And yes as Chantell asked, inquiring minds want to know - pls tell us about the fragrance:-)
It smells like a plumeria!!! LOL! I will share with you if you want some of it, Maureen and Chantell.
Yummm...plumeria. I would love some of it. Let me know when your ready and I will send other plants or postage. Thanks:-)
Gotta wait til it warms up a bit before I cut it back but I'm cutting alot, it's so big. Will let you know as soon as it's ready Maureen.
Me too, me too. Please add me to your list.... As if I don't have enough Plumeria!!! I will trade or pay shipping. Oh how I envy some of you who are living in warmer climate. One of my neighbor is going to Hawaii in a few weeks and I'm just drooling thinking about all the plants she will get to see.
Which brings me to this question - If you were going to Hawaii, which plant would you bring home? See my thread I posted in Tropical Plants.
