It's snowing again today and I've finished and re read all my books. Is there anything anyone has found particularly good and/or informative on the topics of sustainability?
My favorite books thus far (in terms of ideas, not necessarily happy topics)
Problems: The Long Emergency
Overshoot
Permaculture: Gaia's Garden
I have a pretty good library on food preservation and root cellaring, and generic country living. I also like "The Secure Home" which covers everything, way more than I hope we ever need.
I could use some books on herbs, practical (basic) medicine, and ideas for processing foods over a long period (I find myself trying to preserve enough food for a year in a couple weeks in August!). Fish farming, chicken raising, sources of sustainable protein would be great too.
Add your own ideas!!
Thanks!!
Does anyone have ideas for additions to my library? It would be greatly appreciated!
