what could be causing rolled leaves?

Springville, IA

Three of my AV's have these strange looking curled, rolled leaves. They are not flowering., but are growing very well. I don't see any bugs.
What is it and how do I stop it?!
Thanks
Kit

Here are the symptoms it lists:

* Broad Mites
* Privet Mites
* Spider Mites
* Sunlight - Too Much
* Temperature - Too Cold
* Water - Too Cold

You should water with room temperature water. Let it sit in a gallon jug at least overnight.

Mites cannot be seen with the human eye but do more damage than curling leaves.

Temperature problems?

Hope this helps.

My guess would be temps too cold or too cold of water.I noticed you are from right across the river : ) Being in Nebraska our winters really seem to take a toll on av's : ( I lost quite a few from watering with water that was to cold and having them on a stand too close to my windows before I realized that what was going on.Not saying thats whats wrong with your av's,just a guess because they seem to resemble a few of mine a couple of weeks back.

I wouldn't hesitate if I were you to treat for both kinds of things that bother avs. I would first use Avid for cyclamen mites (just in case) and then I would use Admire Pro or Marathon for mealy bugs in the soil. If you don't have a big collection you can take a chance and try many things.

This only happened to me once and i treated (sprayed) every plant I had in the house with the Avid and water.

Next day I put marathon granules in every plant I had (1/8 -14 tsp per 4" plant)

Within a week my plants looked like new ........I treated them for 3 consecutive weeks and then did a fourth treatment just for safety.

If you only have a few plants that look that way, you might want to isolate and try some different methods of treating............first by repotting............
There is a great site and I can't find it where it shows pictures of the way plants look and what to do for each look........
Does anyone know?

Thanks, everyone!
After looking at your links, I think the problem is cold. They are in a sunroom that gets a bit chilly in the winter. They're in a terrarium near the northeast windows and I assumed that would give them enough insulation from the chill. I'll put them in a warmer spot til spring actually gets here -three inches of snow yesterday-GRRR!
