Ohhhh so sad! ...but Im still here!

Hey all! Just a few words to you , then back to My Dad's.
I am missing this forum so much. I had to sell and or find new homes for all my Chickie Babies! I had to make quick decisions in an even shorter time. My Father ,82, who lives 130 miles from me, fell and broke his femur. The old "Hip" Fracture thingy. He lives with my Mom, also 82. He was in the hospital for over 6 weeks and now is home. He is still not quite ambulatory,and needs constant care. My Mom is taking this all in stride but needs help. I am the only family member right now that can stay with them night and day, so I have moved in with them.
Because of the move I had to be realistic and get rid of all my pets and chickies. So sad!!
I miss them! Enough said! You all know how much my life revolved around them!
I hope to be back home ,full time, by May! Maybe then I will be able to start my Chickies again!
So until then I will just lurk the forums and add a comment or two, to let youall know Im still here!

Oh how sad. That had to be so very hard. I understand though the parents need help. My Dad will be 85 in June and my sister and her family are living with him. He can't hear anymore and isn't real steady on his feet.
Hope you can get a whole flock of pets to spoil when you get back home.

Eufaula, I've been thinking about you and wondering where you went to... I'm sad to hear the news about your parents, and your chickies, I know how you love them. My folks are in their 70's and I can see it coming. Please know that I will keep you and your folks in my thoughts and prayers. You are missed, and we look forward to the day you're 'back in business' and on the poultry blog again, chatting about your new chickies. ;)

I'm sorry to hear you have all that going on and that your father is in bad shape. I'm also sorry you had to give up all your birds. :(

I wish I was closer and could share mine with you. Best I remember, you often came home with birds when you weren't looking for birds. :) Somehow I think, you will be quick to re-establish, when you are ready.

Hey All! Im still here, just been so busy trying to look for work! Im between a rock and a hard place right now! First my Dads medical problems and now My divorce!! Whew!!!!
It seems people just dont want to hire an older woman for any kind of position nowadays! Im hanging in there though! Im having a big yard sale today and selling everything thats not tied down! It was really sad selling all my chick feeders and waterers. Even the "Chicken Tractor", is now dismantled!
I will get back to work though, and I know in time the right job will come my way. Then.... I willl have chickens and more chickens again! Then I will have a lot to tell you guys everyday! Love to ya and I miss you too! I do read the posts though , and try to keep up!

Hey all! Just posted on the trash to Treasure Forum!
I got a terrific job and Im working, Yaaaaay!
My Dad is doing great, and thank you all for asking and caring so much!
I'm still trying to get all my duckies in a row( hmmmm I might even consider getting some real ones now), With the new job it want be long before I hope to get my Chicken yard full again!
