I saw this on another board that I visit, so just for fun:

My biological age is 35 years
It says that my "real age" is 17.7 years (do I seem like a teenager to you, lol)

It's beginning to look as though gardeners are good, hardy perennials that are also great garden performers :-)

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

"gardeners are good, hardy perennials ".....I think that's true Ginny. My Grandmother is near 90 and her brother & sister are older yet....they all garden actively!

Erynne

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

Erynne
Thanks for the fun! I'm almost 51 but this puts me at 31 which is what I feel like most of the time. What a wonderfuly diverse group of ages we gardeners are. Just like they say " a little dirt will do you good"
Ann

older than dirt...

Beautiful, BC(Zone 8b)

Thought I was hooped when the smoking came into play

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Biological age 63 - real age 43.3 Average life expectancy 79. Potential life expectancy of 98.8. I doubt it. Hope the mind keeps going too.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

I only got about 16 yrs left. I better start, preparing the ground. ;)

Kingston, ON(Zone 5b)

I love this thing! I thougth I wasn't doing very well and it say's I'm going to live to be 101 years old ,plus it says my real age is only 20.. and I am 47 yippie!!!
I have told people I am going to live to be 103 -so maybe I'm not that much off the mark.
I always say to people"I can't be the age I am because I'm not mature enough yet to be that age" ! Ha Ha
My Mom says it's because I don't have children...but she forgets I have raised my brother "s child--she say's it doesn't count...haha --well I'm happy today !

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Aw, I wanted to play too, but the link isn't working for me.

North Augusta, ON

hehe...I tested DH...he is biologically 45 his real age is 63.7 and he's only gonna live to be 56. Only gotta deal with him for 11 more years, then I get 30 years of freedom!!

Albuquerque, NM(Zone 7a)

According to this I am going to live to be 102. I wonder how I will be able to afford that!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 2b)

I better stop smoking.

I know, nag nag.
inanda aka the other Ginny wondering how the packing is going Erynne

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

inanda, the packing is going well. I'd say about 60% done and the rest we're using so can't pack those things. I haven't smoked since early afternoon on March 31st and I'm trying to keep busy.

Erynne

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Still smoking here, and wishing there was a magic pill to take the urge away :-) I can't imagine quitting in the middle of packing up and moving! Of course, there's always one more reason why now isn't a good time, right?

I'm glad to hear the move preparations are well in hand Erynne. Have you started digging up the plants you want to take with you yet?

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

I started digging some yesterday Ginny. Actually, yardwork kept me busy all yesterday afternoon; so much ick out there.

Re: the smoking....yeah, I'm always thinking I should quit then I think no, maybe tomorrow, then maybe next week. I think I just had enough of feeling like "carp".
I'm very grouchy and I have to be kept busy or the pangs start. It's very hard.

Erynne

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

great fun although i don't see why you should get longevity points for being married as opposed to divorced - i'd've died long ago if i was still married lol

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Erynne - good for you staying away from the weed for over a month. Just take it one day at a time and if you succumb to temptation, just quit again right away. You'll make it.

Glad to hear that the packing is going well and I'm jealous that you can actually dig your plants. It will still be awhile before I'll even see mine, though the snowbanks are under a metre high now.

Ann

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

Ann, I quit on Mar 31st so it's almost a week! I've already added hours onto my life apparently and saved some $$.

Sorry about the snow still being there. I still have snow on the north side of my backyard but it's just about dwindled down to nothing and very soggy out there.
Front yard is dried up nicely, crocuses are in bloom and there's growth everywhere. That's where I've been digging out some of the plants that are moving with me.

Erynne

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

OK So I'm date challenged. LOL Still, a week is a week and every day gets you closer to TWO weeks. Thinking about the extra $$$ that you will have for your new garden should help too.

The snow IS still here, but the days are a lot warmer - light jacket weather. The snow pile between our driveway and the next door neighbour's is nearly gone with two black driveways to hold the warmth of the sun. No longer is it like driving through a tunnel to get out of the driveway. My Fritilaria which is close to the house is now up about 4 inches and I'm seeing a few crocuses poking up as well as some of my hosta markers. We still have snow (and some ice) on the roof of the house, but it's pouring into the eavestrough quite quickly. I guess there's hope.
