Does anyone know where I can find a "Hot Lips Flower"?

Hammond, LA(Zone 8b)

I saw one in Monteverde in Costa Rica and have found the following picture on the 'net. If anyone knows any sources, please let me know. Thanks, Jennifer

These guys sell seeds but it looks like they're currently unavailable. That's a zone 10-type Coffee family plant.

Thanks, I sent them a message to let me know if and when the seeds are available. If anyone else has any sources, please let me know. Thanks again, Jennifer

You might check Top Tropicals, they have lots of unusual tropical things. They have mostly plants but do have seeds for some things too.

Speaking of Top Tropicals, ecrane3, have you ever purchased plants from them?
I've checked out their site many times, and subscribe to a newsletter, but have yet to purchase from them.
Do you recommend?

Sorry, Jennifer - I don't know of a source for the plant you're seeking.

Yes, I've bought a number of things from them and I've always been happy with everything but the shipping costs (they sell larger plants, most are 1 gallon or 3 gallon size, and especially for the 3 gal ones the shipping cost is about the same as the cost of the plant...not their fault, that's just how much it costs to ship a 3 gal pot across the country, but it's still pretty expensive!). I'd definitely read their reviews in Garden Watchdog, I think overall they have a good rating but I'm pretty sure there are some negatives out there too.

" Psychotria poeppigiana" - wow...what a name!

Thanks for the info, ecrane3 - good to know!
