Okay, someone tell mother nature that it's supposed to be spring already!!
Snow in the Pacific Northwest!
Oooh. It's a lot. Looks like the snow was down south today. We didn't have any in Woodinville, though it's cooooold. Brr.
Poor daffodils and johnny jump ups.
This is not the first time it has snowed in march have also seen it snow in April. Sorry
No snow here in the convergent zone. But when I got home from Seattle the rain was hardest after we crossed the county line.
And they're saying snow tomorrow in some locations. Eeek. This is freaky. AD, on the news, they did "target" your area for potential snowfall tonight.
Melissa - glad you got everybody back under cover. I've kept everybody inside for the last few days, as well.
...I almost set out my cukes & squash under cloches. Glad I waited.
I just came back inside from weeding & a walk around the property - it is icy cold out there & the wind makes it worse.
Of course the weeds aren't missing a beat - the dandelions are budding profusely, and quite a few bloomed. The ever-popular creeping buttercup seems to revel in this weather - all its work going on underground.
I need 60° in the worst way...
Rob I know you got snow today, it snowed in Lynnwood for 3 hours, but nothing stuck, so to speck.
Hi all you washington plant peeps! i'm on s. coast oregon and we also have had really crummy weather. this week alone, thunder storms, LOTS of hail (thought it was going to beat my blooms to death, but didnt thank goodnes) and someone even said it snowed this am. did'nt see any when i left for church, so must not have stuck. here on the coast its been a very late spring, and just when you think things are warming up... we get this weird cold weather... again :( so far my garden is doing ok... got some dwarf rhodies, daff. and tulips blooming and others are just about there. keep warm and toasty! happy planting
