I started a juniper cascade today. The cascade was no problem. I prined and clipped merrily, looking for the statue in the block of marble as it were. But then, what to do with that strong, stiff, blocky stem? The obvious answer seems to be to make a jin of it.
When I was in my mid twenties, I loved the look of the jin and shari. They were dramatic, exciting in a way. But now, many years later, artheritic shoulder aching if I do too much, I look at the jin and shari of trees and think, "D---, I'll bet that hurts!" Anthropomorphism at its best.

Yes, you're allowed to laugh at me about this
Oh! That was great...lol. I know what you mean though...
Turtle Beth, I am right there with you too and not just plants. Grass blood when I cut the grass,I too always think, Man that has got to hurt☺Needless to say,the grass always looks a bit on the fluffy side so I don't have to see the "blood".
Since I have made such pets out of my Pond Fish, I can't eat ANY fish anymore,it would be like eating one of my pets.
LOL!
