Welp Hatchery - Two thumbs up

Lincolnville, ME(Zone 5a)

I rec'd an order of chicks this a.m. from Welp Hatchery in Iowa. They are the best looking chicks I have rec'd yet. All 30 were very fluffy, no weak ones, and it has been cold the last two nights, in the single digits. One a side note, they shorted me 10 GLW's that I had added to the order after the initial order was placed, I called them, they confirmed I was short 10. They asked if I wanted a refund, and I explained that MMH had originally shorted me, and with what-all is going on there I hadn't requested that MMH re-send. Hence, the reason that I had asked Welp to add to my order. I also explained that I didn't wish to wait for warm weather to re-send. The very nice lady (Nicole?) asked if I could hold for a moment, she confirmed the availability and informed me that she would send 10 extra GLW FREE to keep their 10 little buddies warm. No how 'bout that? I am sold on Welp, will definitely order there again.

That's cool! I was thinking about ordering from them. The no postage policy is great!

Scott, Thanks for the heads up on Welp. My order comes on 4/21 from them. I feel like I'm riding on your shirttails all spring. I had ordered from MMH and then canceled after your trouble and now have a Welp order in too! Let me know if you finally end up getting BLRW's and maybe I could get some eggs from you next spring. thanks

i have rec'd bantams from our feed store that come from Welp. three different times. 10 more today. this way i am not purchasing sight-unseen, i can take what i want out of the asst, and leave the smaller ones. the first time i ended up with one missing a toenail. today i inspected toenails and put two back that had a problem.

pretty much same thing here, great healthy looking chicks! these two standard polish came from them...
