Look who was at the feeder yesterday

I am so excited about seeing this again. I hear them in the forest but can't find them.

This was my first year to have the Pileated WPs at the feeders and it is so very exciting!!

I know your excitment, I too have seen them only a handful of times, and heard them for the last 13 years that I have lived here in the Ozarks. Their size is so suprising every time ...

Same here! Got my First ones at the feeder 2 weeks ago. So excited for you! My pictures aren't near as good tho. Older camera!

We had a nice couple come in the other day and ck to see if we had suet out.
They both pecked around a little and left.

Love seeing and hearing these guys.

I'm jealous! I've always want to see a Pileated in person! I have a Hairy who nests in the Ash across the street every summer, and now and then there are Red Cresteds, Sapsuckers, and Flickers. I can certainly hear the Pileateds!
