hi there guys,
i have enough of these bulbs for a few large trades. these are an original heirloom amaryllis that is hardy to zone 6. the bulbs are very hard to find, mostly a "pass along" bulb, they few sources that have them commercially charge $9 to $15 per bulb. i would prefer to trade enough for a large or even extra large flat rate box due to the weight of these bulbs. I am looking for:
Named Daylilies
Alstromeria
Hardy Geranium: especially looking for Geranium Rozanne

Hardy Red Amaryllis/ St Joseph's Lily for Trade
Wish I had enough daylilies to trade for these. They are gorgeous and whoever gets them will be soooooo lucky!
Ditto to shuggins!!! I have only one of these beauties and would LOVE a box full of them!!
Misty where did you get yours? I want one too.
Hi Marie! LOL I got in from another generous DGer that sent me some other things and added one for me. :)
Hi Tracie,
Will have Daylilies to trade soon, would love a few of your lilies, just read some people say they are hardy to zone 5!
I only have about half of my Daylilies listed on my have page here, my master list is at Garden Web, under nyvoices99. :)Anita
Tracie, one of my clients have these, I'll ask her if I could dig some for you. I'll try to find the picture i took and emailed to a friend.
Hey. Those are beautiful! I was in Montgomery, AL last summer and saw a driveway LINED with them. Spectacular! I could get you all the daylilies you wanted, but none that are named. I can get them from a hybridizer that needs to make space in his breeding bed. It's a long drive, but for the right trade, I'd make it! The only ones I have named are my "Strawberry Candy".
hey guys,
glad to see so many folks think these beauties are as special as i do! :) please dmail me what you would like so that we can figure something out. as i stated, really only want to do large trades due to the weight of these bulbs. i sent a couple out in two small trades today and the postage on each box was over $7! thanks guys!
tracie
I ordered one yesterday Tammy :o)
WTG Marie! Aren't they just gorgeous!!!
They sure are !!
Oh Tracie, my mouth is watering!!!
i just talked to someone over at Old House Gardens their bulbs that cost$15.50 each are about 3 inches in diameter and may not bloom until next year. the bulbs i have are larger and are ready to bloom now! some of them are softball size!

tracie
Stop teasing us ! What can we bribe you with to get our hands on them! :-)
Softball!! Tracie, You did not tell me I would need a wheelbarrow to take them to the garden;) I do so hope what I read is true, I will be VERY bummed if I can't over winter them. ;)Anita
worse case, maybe you could pot them up. do you have a greenhouse? maybe if you mulched them heavily and plant them in a more sheltered spot? oh, the weight of the box i sent you is pretty substantial! it would have cost over $17 in postage if i hadnt sent it in a flat rate box!
tracie
Nope, no greenhouse YET!!
I was thinking about potting keep in the house over winter & planting in the ground, just in case, I see I will need heavy mulch on them, all I can do is try;) Just think May 3rd the PO rates go UP again, I knew I should have bought a TON of the forever stamps!
i want a greenhouse soooo bad! i asked the post guy the other day and if i remember correctly, he said the first class was going up 1 penny. not too bad, i expected a bigger increase. i love the new large flat rate box, especially for the heavier items. i think it will help all of us that love the coops and trading! :)
tracie
just wanted to bump this up again, still have some to trade!
tracie
I've put a couple of these in pots and they actually need staking. Do the ones you have outside fall often?
no, have never had to stake any outside. have never seen anyone that i know have to stake. of course, all of mine are in the ground, but they are not buried deep. placed just under the soil, some with the neck sticking out. here are some of mine that just started to bloom.

Hi Tracie,
I have some named daylilies but need to get out to see exactly what I have and make a list. I also have Alstromeria (orange king) and a few different Hardy Geraniums, just not 'Rozanne'. If you're interested I'll make a list for you this afternoon. I'd love some of your St Joseph's Lilies and would love to fill up a box for you for some of them.
Thanks,
Joy
tracie, I just wanted to let you know that the parrot glads are up 4". They will be transported back up north and transplanted into my flower bed. Can't wait to get back to my real garden.
i am so glad they are doing well for you! send me a pic when they bloom.
tracie
