hoya fungii

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I've been growing this hoya now for almost 4 years. It grows like a weed and blooms reliably every year at this time. In fact it's loaded with open flowers right now. The interesting thing about it though is that the peduncles always seem to form this second arm right at the base of where the first set of buds develops from.

David, it kinda reminds me of those 2 headed fish that result from toxic waste dumping in the rivers one reads about. HeHeHe, of course that only happens in the big city, not here in MT, where it is all natural glacial spring water!

Sniff... I would be happy with toxicly deformed flowers, if I could just have a few more flowers in general, I would be happy.

Oooo, how cool. I hope mine does the same thing - it sprouted a peduncle over the winter, and I've been watching it incessantly for signs of buds. Thanks for sharing David!

Has it bloomed yet? I'm waiting patiently for mine to open too!

It did bloom but I think I somehow deleted the pic of that particular cluster but here's a shot of the plant
