Where to put a small veggie garden?
Vegetables need to be where they will get a lot of sun. Which direction is the house facing and which side of the walk will the deck be on?

Your garden should also be well drained. Don't put it in a low spot.
I have raised beds in my garden and love them. Here's a photo of a garden I designed for the charter school.
Edited to add - they used coffee can around the tomatoes and peppers to help the kids know how much to water.

Are you putting the deck on the piece of property and want to grow veggies on the deck? or Are you putting in a deck and want to put veggies around? or, is this spot just for veggies?
