Hamburg is where I live (with the other 80 residents) Klamath River is our Post Office (17 miles from here). The tree Swallows showed up early but then disappeared (I guess the rain ran them off) today they were back and very active checking out the bird houses. I decided that I would do a seperate thread on them since I'll probably be posting pics of them on and off. (8 pics)
The Swallows return to Hamburg.
Oh, how lovely! My first ever memory of "birds" was of the barn swallows tormenting my cat in the driveway! Swallows are so fun to watch. Enjoy

No need to apologize.
Oh they are so beautiful!!
Thanks for posting them adel!
They are beautiful! That blue color is amazing. They are cool to watch too. I live near a small airport and like to watch the Barn Swallows flying in and out of the hangars swooping up bugs.
Can't wait to see more Adel!
I never knew they were so pretty until your pics!

Very cool pic Ade.!
Thanks all for the nice words.
Nice pic!
Are they still house hunting adel or are these all seperate pairs?
There seems to be three pairs checking out the houses but I don't think they've made their choice yet.
They're beautiful, very shiny feathers. The barn swallow, use to make their nest on top of our bedroom windows, at our farm house, when I was a child. I loved watching them come and go and watching the babies, stick their little head out of the nest for food.
Great pics Adel
Wonderful pics adel!!
Wow! Such gorgeous birds! I've seen them here, but they've never nested in any of my boxes. Where do you get all of your cute birdhouses?
Yes they are cute adel!
