This is probably one of the biggest wastes that we have no control over if we use even a refrigerator, let alone a cell phone. Superconductors have to be cooled - no way around that.

Yes, these experiments are conducted in a big huge facility that's controlled, but progress is being made - this is like the biggest deal if it could happen on a consumer level - let's hope !!
