Has anyone know anything about building a pondless waterfall in an old tree carcass? This tree has a great natural bowl about 3 feet off the ground that I think would make a nice 2nd level before the fall finishes at the ground. I was thinking about shaping industrial bladder material down the tree where the water would flow. Would that work? Am I nuts? Thanks in advance.
Pondless Waterfall in Tree Carcass
If you can seal it properly then yea you could do it.
It would look pretty awesome too. Maybe plant it with native ferns and mosses? Oohhh got me 'ideaing' now LOL
Thanks crimsontsavo. That's what I'm thinkin'. The base of the bowl is about 1 1/2 feet in diameter and the truck where it branches there is about 4 feet in diameter so there will lots of room to mold the bladder material correctly so there are no leaks. With back lighting and up lighting through the falls part I'm hoping it will also look awesome at night too. I plan to use native wetland plants and woodland plants as yoy say so its not too high maintence.
Definately post a picture when youre done, I really wanna see this!
I want to see it now. Kind of a "before and after". It sounds like it will be amazing to look at.
