I did what I was told to do. I went in there and picked them up and said getchie getchie goo and ran off laughing. Do you think this will help?

Tickling, or disturbing the root system of baby Streps is supposed to encourage them to grow better.

Sure you can watch. I was doing the wiggle dance with the plants this morning. This is where you take each one and blow you breath on and make it wiggle.
Oh, yes has anyone ever seen the Wiggles show on TV?

Ok, I just found this thread and I think I like this group! Y'all are a hoot! Tickling plants and wiggling and dancing with them! My kinda group!
Now, why didn't someone tell me about tickling Strep's when I had one alive? Maybe if I'd tried that they wouldn't have croaked on me! hmmm .... tickling the plants ... gotta try that one. Oh, wait ... I think I do remember something about someone saying to take a toothpick and stick it down by the roots and wiggle it a little ... never had a chance to try it on mine though!

I was wondering the same thing Lin..Haven't seen her post in awhile..I do remember her posting about having some type of surgery coming up..of course now I can't find that thread...sure hope all is well ....

Well it seems to have helped a little. I only repotted them a week ago. We shall see.

Hi Makshi! Glad your OK and thanks for the laugh!
The little baby streps that I grew with the leaf cut in half and laid sideways took forever to take off! There were so many tiny plants! They finally did the best when I took those 9 oz squatty solo cups (melted holes in the bottom with an inexpensive soldering iron per Rain's instructions) and filled them 1/3 with perlite and then the rest of the way with a light AV mix. Then I domed them for awhile.
Now I finally have a couple of Maassen's White putting up their first bloom stalks. It's been nearly a year since I put my first strep leaf down so slow going/growing in Idaho!
