Yellow Scallop Summer Squash for SASBE

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

Hi,

I made a mistake when ordering, and ended up with 1/4 pound of Yellow Scallop Summer Squash from Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co. WAY more than I can use.

I have 18 packs of appr 70-80 seeds each pack. (I measured out a tablespoon per envelope which seems to be around 75 seeds)

They are available for a SASBE with 2 first class stamps.

First 18 requests will be filled.

Hi tggfisk, thanks for responding in my stead :)

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

gammy3,

Please be sure to send the SASBE to me - not to Bev. She responded for me to the question on what B stands for in the SASBE, but she is not the one offering the seeds :)

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Hi Xeram,

This is the description from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds:
Yellow Scallop
(Golden Custard) Beautiful bright yellow fruit with a rich, mellow flavor. Likely predates Columbian times, a rare native American squash. Bush plants with good yields.

If you go to http://www.rareseeds.com and click on shop online and then search for Yellow Scallop Squash you'll see a picture

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I would love to try them. How do I find your address to send the envelope? I know there is some place on the site for that but I don't know how to find it. Thanks a million.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Yep .. those are patty pan. I remember having those when I lived in England .. they were a bit spicy if I remember correctly.

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Hey essentialplanet! Hope I didn't step out of line answering the question, but it so sounded like one of those things that drove me bonkers before I became a bit more savy, lol! And thanks to all the wonderful DGers who held (and still do on occaision) my hand so to speak.
Bev

So sorry. I just realized I was supposed to send a bubble envelope. Will it keep you from being able to send the seeds?

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

tggfisk,

On the contrary! I appreciate that you answered when I was not here to do it!

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

Cajun,

No problem, it will be fine!

Can you add me to your list? I would love to try these. :^)

SASBE on the way. I ran out of the envelopes but I put an address sticker on the inside so you can just send me back the one I sent you. Also included a surprise for you to thank you for sharing with us. :^)

I woulld like to try some also...sasbe on the way

thanks, Carol

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

Thanks to those who have already sent their SASBEs. See update above of what has been mailed out so far.

Don't be surprised when some of you get a small SASBE back instead of the large one you sent me. The larger envelopes do not go for 82¢, so I switched those to a small size to be sure you don't have postage due when the seeds arrive.

Bloomingdale, NJ(Zone 6a)

Is there any left for me?

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

Kat7, plenty left - only 11 of 18 packs are spoken for. I will add you as number 12.

Chickasha, OK(Zone 7b)

I would LOVE to have some seeds, if you still have some left. Just let me know and I'll get a SASBE out asap.

Thanks!

's-Gravenhage, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

I would like to have some, but don't live in the USA and therefore cannot send SASE. Is there another way we can work this out? Like a seed-for-seed trade (see my tradelist) or me paying for postage by Paypal? Please send me d-mail!

pensacola, FL(Zone 8a)

Received mine last week, sorry for late post...problems with internet

thanks again...Carol

Austell, GA(Zone 7a)

I am so sorry I did not tell you I had received the seed. Sorry, CRS!!

Thank you for sharing!!

Brenda

Flora, IN(Zone 5a)

Now for some good recipes?

Louisville, KY

Got mine. Thank you very much!!! I would love some recipes too....

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

OK, recipes to follow. We are having the first nice spring weather this weekend, so I will be in the garden today.

Tomorrow, in the rain, I'll get some recipes posted :)

Hello,

It appears that 2 slots are left...if still are, I'd like to try some, please. If not, that's okay.

Just let me know and envelope will follow.

Thanks so much!

Hi Elise,

That makes you # 18!

Now... can I close this thread and still post the recipes? Or once I close it, can I no longer post?

Don't know how this works :) Help, someone?

Biggs, KY(Zone 6a)

I got my seeds a couple of days ago but it has been too cold and wet to plant anything. Thankyou so much for sending the seeds. I'm going to send some to my FIL in La. He loves peas.
