I had such a great time photographing my absolute favorite bird, the Vermilion Flycatcher at the State Park we camped in last week. I had hoped to get just one decent pic of a male and I got several!
There were two males chasing each other from tree to tree on the edge of a field. They were so involved with each other that they didn't even care that I was there.
I'll start right off with my favorite pics. I'd been having trouble getting them into the frame long enough to snap a pic because they never stayed in one place long enough for me to find them and focus. Finally I figured out how to set the camera to take multiple fast shots and this is what I got!

Vermilion Flycatcher
I'm having trouble posting the next pic. Trying a post with no pic.
ah, such fun.
That's all! These are pretty much unedited except to crop them. If anyone just loves photo-editing and wants to tweak them, just let me know. I think I'd like to put #'s 1, 2 and 3 in a framed collage.
Thats so cool; they are such beautiful birds!
I'm so glad you had such a good time and were able to see so many birds. Your daughter did a great job with the pics too!
Great shots! Gotta love Burst Mode.
I've never seen one of those before. I can see why they're your favorite.
Thanks for posting pics of a beautiful bird I've never seen!
Nice series!
Wish my camera had rapid fire mode!
