This one came from california in a large order i had gotten and was labeled Gross Tete. Which it is not. Any help would be appreciated. Any guesses would be helpful. The bloom is about 7 1/2" across on an upright bush. Velvet like texture.
Thanks in advance,
Robert
Help with Identity
Hi Dave,
Good Possibility, I talked to Matt and he had sent me a PIC of one he grew from a seed that he got from Dick Johnson. He said it bloomed with white in throat at times. He called it tropical splash. At first I thought it was solved, but I have a tendancy to go with you on sunshower right now. I will look at the bush tomorrow and compare leaves.
Thanks,
Robert

I would guess Sunshower except that it is more often a lateral grower than upright.
Barry
Barry,
I do agree. This a is a straight upright as of now with no lateral growth what so ever.
Thanks Gordo. So What do you think? I have looked at many ss blooms and traits are there on the bloom, but there are many variations of the bloom. The bush is completely upright. I would love your thoughts. This is the consistant type of bloom that it puts out. Since october last year. Very little or no deviation from it. BTW Hows the weather over there. We Have this small front coming (with rain & some major winds from the south clashing with it) trying to rip everything apart. Hopefully it will miss you!
Thanks,
Robert
